Emergencies

Depressurization – after leveling

We are sorry for the discomfort that our sudden descent has caused. You may now take off your oxygen masks. You can breathe normally. We’ve only had a loss of cabin pressure. We’ll keep flying safe until we get to the airport in ….., where we’ll be landing in about …. minutes. Should you need any help, please call one of our flight attendants. They’re ready to assist you.

 

Emergency landing / Ditching

May I have your attention, please. This is the captain speaking. We’ve had a severe malfunctioning in one of our systems and, therefore, we’ll be landing (in ….. / on the water / in the jungle / on a field / on a highway). It’s a different kind of landing, but the aircraft is designed to cope with this situation.

It is essential that you keep calm and follow the flight attendants’ instructions. They’re well-trained to deal with this situation.
